I love playing one colour off another. There is nothing more striking than vibrant, bright highlights contrasting with rich, dark undertones. Walking through Granville Island Market is a trip of inspiration. The flood of colours, textures and interesting subject matter makes it hard to settle on just one thing to paint. In this piece, I wanted to capture the beautiful array of colours and shapes at a marketplace fruit stand.
