15. Whytecliff Island

I find Whytecliff Island is best viewed on quiet mornings when soft light reveals the subtle colours of its rocks and vegetation. During low tide, it’s possible to hop from rock to rock to reach the island. I wanted to bring the experience into the painting to let the viewer explore the closer rocks first before arriving
on the island.
