When I was a child, I loved to watch aircraft taking off and landing at YVR. The majestic planes and terminal infrastructures would glimmer with a warm glow at sunset. Inspired by Wu’s gift of creating atmosphere with broad brushstokes and dramatic lighting, I aimed to capture the brilliance of the West Coast sunset and the nostalgic feeling that YVR gives me.
