Kandinsky has been credited with painting the first modern abstract works. His paintings are influenced by music and sound and composed of large, expressive areas of colour, forms and lines. The Vancouver International Airport is a lively place full of many colours, sounds and people travelling in and out of the city. In this painting I’ve tried to capture the movement, emotions and culture of everyday life at YVR.
