I particularly like this walkway at Waterfront Station thanks to the view of the train tracks, the beauty of Gastown’s old buildings, and the human flow. To express this warm feeling on canvas, I chose to emulate Paul Gauguin. His use of simple shapes and the serenity of his figures give his paintings a quiet sense of unreality that I find inspiring.
