Path to the Canyon
(Inspired by Ross Penhall)

Walking my dog up Capilano Canyon I discovered a beautiful bend in the path that encompasses visitors in its peaceful warmth. With light streaming through the trees, the scene evokes the tranquil essence of nature. Emulating Ross Penhall felt natural for this scene with its rich shadows and warm fall colours. Through Penhall’s work, I have learned a great deal about light and the effects it creates, and he will continue to influence my own style and future works.
