5. Inukshuk at Sunset

English Bay is where Vancouverites escape to relax and enjoy the beach especially in the summer. The now very iconic Inukshuk stands proudly at this location where people, ocean, beach, city and mountains come together.
I chose to work in oil and use only the palette knife, creating effects and textures that aren’t possible with brushes. I enjoyed the unexpected little surprises of colour that this technique produced.
