Lonsdale Quay is quite a busy place during
the day. People from all around the world come here to visit, and people from all over the North Shore come to take the SeaBus or shop. In this painting I wanted to bring out the quiet side of Lonsdale Quay during sunset. I chose James Abbott Whistler’s style to convey the silent magnificence there at that time of day.
